Zcyphher

Zcyphher is an independent creative agency, established in 2010, with a massive portfolio of work in branding, film, photography, design and digital.

I joined Zcyphher in 2019 as a Brand Operations Manager on a short-term contract. In my six months at Zcyphher, I was in charge of building a roadmap for their new digital marketing department. The goal was to onboard new and existing clients and help them diversify their business on social media.

I successfully owned brand strategy for the client portfolios under my purview across a wide range of industries. Collaborating cross-functionally, I stayed on the beat of client-specific business requirements, leading them to a period of high growth and meaningful community engagement using paid and organic social growth strategies.

A Very Tasty Christmas

As part of their annual Christmas charity campaign, I was tasked with coming up with a concept that was never before executed by either of the brands.

I created a storyboard from the point of view of a modern-day Santa Claus, who delivers tasty pet food (donated by these brands) to pets that live with animal care NGOs around the city of Mumbai.

The resultant video was written, directed, and shot by me, with the help of the in-house prop managers. Collaborating cross-functionally with the video editor and graphic designer, the video was ready and packaged for distribution on the brand's Facebook channel.

The video was well-received by the client with no changes, and was published on Christmas Eve.

#PetsOfValentinesDay

For Valentine's Day, I came up with a campaign idea that hadn't been executed by any brand before. I wanted to try a 'Humans of NY'-style photo series, but with pets and their parents. The twist: it'll be the pets talking about their love for their parents.

The client loved the idea, so we ran with it. I conceptualized the entire shoot, one post each for the five pet-product brands. I interviewed friends and neighbours who were pet parents, understanding their relationships, and crafted the captions for all the posts. Collaborating cross-functionally with the photographer, we made some beautiful portraits which were posted on the eve of Valentine's Day on Instagram.

To this day, they remain the highest-performing posts of their respective pages.

Feeders

As part of the feature documentary, Feeders, that Zcyphher was producing, I was the marketing executive in charge of all digital marketing operations.

I set up the fundraising page on Wishberry (now defunct), social media pages, crafted copy for their online presence, set up an newsletter marketing campaign, as well as set up paid and organic growth campaigns for more visibility. I trained the marketing team on the vision for the documentary, so that they could continue with the efforts after my departure.

Lastly, I also contributed copy and design / layout assistance for the documentary's posters, flyers, and other communication.
